A short film I made during a two-day visit to Mosul, the capital city of Nineveh Governorate, northern Iraq. Mosul experienced four years of Islamic-State rule until it got liberated in 2017 by an international coalition of forces, after seven months of baneful fighting. Another four years elapsed since the liberation by the time of our visit. The city remains largely depopulated and in rubble, but human hope shines amid the destruction in a bid to reinstate everyday life. Read the story: [ Ссылка ]
