Field Notes used a different paper than usual in their latest release. Will fountain pens respond better to this paper?

The most recent release from Field Notes is the Signs of Spring 2022 Quarterly Limited Edition notebooks (set of 3). They're gorgeous, of course. And inspired (as Field Notes releases always are), and we'll get in to both of those with you, but FIRST...the paper!

The "Signs of Spring" notebooks feature a NEW paper that Field Notes hasn't used before: Strathmore’s Cambric 70# text. Field Notes chose the paper because they love the paper's subtle, linen-like texture (and they think writers and artists are really going to be drawn to it).

Since we hear feedback fairly often that Field Notebooks are amazing, but fountain pen fans don't love the way their pens respond to the paper, we jumped at the chance to test out a few of our favorite fountain pens on the new Field Notes Signs of Spring notebooks.
