Saakshi Bhagavath, an electronics and communication engineering student, started learning Hindustani classical at the age of 5 and thereafter learnt Carnatic music for a few years. She has had the privilege of sharing the stage with Anandji of Kalyanji-Anandji, S P Balasubrahmanyam, Vijay Prakash, Vani Jairam, P Susheela, Mano, Madhu Balakrishna, Ajay Warrior, etc. She also had won competitions judged by Pritam Da, Yesudas and Suresh Wadkar. She is also a trained Kathak dancer. She has sung in an album under the music direction of Ravi Basrur. She has also had the privilege to be a part of Zee Kannada Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Season-10 L'il champs judged by Arjun Janya, Vijay Prakash and Rajesh Krishnan which gave her the opportunity to have an intensive mentoring session with Supriya Raghunandan. She is currently learning Hindustani from Kumar Mardur and light vocals from Supriya Raghunandan.
