pairing: Mainly Goshi x Shinya, but there's a few seconds in the beginning that you can interpret as Shinya x Mahiru if you want. But you don't have to. (I don't ship that pairing at all and I included those parts for other reasons, i.e. to make a reference to the effect that meeting Mahiru had on Shinya, which is not shippy at all. Shinya thinking about his reason for staying alive and stuff.)
This vid was inspired by the light novels, it probably won't make much sense if you haven't read them. The images are also novel illustrations.
Their conversation at the zoo - I totally made it look like they were agreeing to go there together. XD I only realized it once I was done. Didn't intentionally mean to do that. XD Not that I really mind. (In the text Shinya just jokes that he'll check the zoo out if they survive the mission.)
Also! I bought the first volume of the official English translation of the novels. You know how Goshi always, ALWAYS calls Shinya 'Shinya-sama' and uses polite speech to address him? Well. The translation uses 'Lord' in place of '-sama', but there's a little piece of dialog (p. 132) where Goshi supposedly says to Guren "Why is Shinya in the ring instead of you?". I call bullshit, Goshi wouldn't talk about Shinya so casually, but do you know what this means? THE GOSHI/SHINYA RELATIONSHIP IS TOO ADORABLE FOR THE OFFICIAL TRANSLATION TO HANDLE. I'm proud of my pairing. :D
