According to the Alphabet of Ben Sira, an anonymous text comprising of a compilation of several proverbs and an accompanying commentary, Lilith wasn’t just a tantalising temptress or a nocturnal nemesis… she was in actuality, the first wife of Adam. By the end of Ben Sira's tale, we find Lilith has metamorphized into something sinister - an enemy of man and a mother of demons.
