It refers to the process by which dividends from a portfolio of stocks can be reinvested in additional shares of the same stocks, leading to an increasing number of shares owned and an increasing amount of dividend income received over time. This, in turn, can lead to a compounding of returns and an acceleration of long-term wealth creation.
