Shelley Chapman, Mindful Nutrition Coach, says she is a living testament to the power of changing your body by changing the story of how we should eat and how we age. This is a powerful episode as Shelley shares her path from emotional eating to mastering the way she eats and losing weight by obeying her body and creating simple guidelines for how she eats. She and Arlia discuss how she transformed her eating and body, decolonizing the diet, the impact of capitalism, eating disorders vs. disordered eating, losing weight vs. losing pounds, discipline vs. obedience, and a discussion of substitutions. Shelley also shares about the Mindful Nutrition School and the DETOX process. She wraps up by reminding the listener of her two simple rules for eating.
