This 1951 Mercury Four Door Sedan is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. The car has been painted in Emerald Green Metallic and looks great on this curvy body. To accent the beautiful paint, “Mr. Horsepower Logos” are the front fenders with additional artwork of Dancing Hearts and Dice adorning the trunk. Inside the engine compartment are even more logos of “Pin Up Girls”, “Dice”, and “Wild Hearts” artwork to give this car a true 50’s theme. Pushing this sled down the road is a Flat Head Ford V-8 that has been rebuilt by Dixon Racing of Sellersburg Indiana. Atop the flat head sits a Fenton Intake with dual carburetors. The engine exhaust exits through chrome lake pipes. The lake pipes run along both sides of the old Merc and give it that great sound that only a flat head V-8 can make. A chromed alternator has been added to insure this car gets plenty of voltage to run the electric fans, fuel pump and stereo system. The interior holds a custom cream leather interior that was done by the owner. The center console is wrapped in leather with toggle switches for all the necessary functions of the car. A full set of Dolphin Gauges keep track of; engine rpm’s, speed/mileage, water temperature, fuel level, oil pressure, voltage and there is even a clock. Other options include AM/FM radio with CD player, chrome hub caps and wide white wall tires. These Mercs are getting harder to come by every year.
