This car has been well documented by Shelby and all of the success this car had on the race track is well known. This car was a test bed for multiple ideas that Shelby tried in 1965. Well, what happens to old race cars once they are outdated? They are usually sold off and more often than not, they are lost to the ages. This car was lost for years, here’s the story of where it went, what happened, how it was found, and how this car went from used up, worn out race car to Pebble Beach!!!!
Our friend and well known Shelby expert Jim Wicks has known this car for years. He actually saw the car the day after it was discovered and brought back into the Shelby world. He assisted in the restoration and helped source the parts to restore this car to “as raced” condition from 1965. It’s a fascinating story directly from someone who has been around this car for years!!! Thanks for watching and check out the other videos we did on this awesome car!
