I really wanted to get this medley out for the release today. As a result, the performance (while ok) is a bit less polished than my usual standard. I would've loved to give this another week or so to settle but release dates (AKA Today for TOTK) wait for no one. Let me know your thoughts and/or if you noticed this difference in the comments below.
Additionally, I plan on doing more TOTK covers as well as releasing full stand alone covers of the 2 remain champion themes found in this video that are not elsewhere on the channel (Daruk and Mipha). Feel free to give me TOTK track suggestions as well.
One extra element of this medley is the use of the infamous plainchant setting of "Dies irae", to represent death, throughout the medley (this is commonly done in film score, pop culture and in classical music). For we all know the ultimate fate of each of the champions in BOTW. The opening figuration of the plainchant is sprinkled throughout the themes/transitions/medley.
