Both lend and borrow talk about using something that belongs to someone else, with a plan to return it.
Lend = give (for a time)
Borrow = take (for a time)
Sometimes borrow and lend are followed by prepositions: 0:41
Misha LENT her pen TO Larissa.
Larissa BORROWED a pen FROM Misha.
**Lend is often followed by an object pronoun. Borrow is not.1:03
I lent him a sweater. (correct)
NOT I borrowed him a sweater. (incorrect)
