Macro Update: 24 March 2022 - Moscow Exchange MOEX is Opening today!

Today on Thursday 24 March, the Moscow stock exchange (aka the Russian Stock Market) - the MOEX will reopen in a partial capacity. the 33 stocks, which I spoke about yesterday that are being banned from shorting, will resume trade today in a reduced trading window. The companies including Gazprom stock, Lukoil stock, Sberbank stock, MMC Norilsk Nickel sock, and Rosneft Oil stock will resume trading on the Moscow stock Exchange.

Trading of Russian Stocks will be blocked to foreigners, however trades made on the last day of operations (28 February) will be settled in this trading session.
