Here I am walking around the Hackescher Markt, Hackesche Höfe to the Alexanderplatz in Berlin, Germany, on a warm summer day. With many small fashion and shoe stores, designer labels and flagship stores of famous brands, Hackesche Höfe at the southern end of Rosenthaler Straße offers amazing shopping opportunities. Tourists and Berliners alike like to come here to stroll through the streets around the area, sit in trendy cafés and purchase a design object or two fresh from the backyard workshop. Starting in the mid-1990s, the historic Hackesche Höfe were extensively renovated and filled with new life. It is is a real highlight of city life in the Mitte neighbourhood of Berlin. The spot also continues to be a popular place for local art and graffiti, which you can see early in the video, and remains a landmark for impressive architecture. Alexanderplatz has always been one of the liveliest places in Berlin, with shops, cinemas, restaurants, and many attractions within walking distance. It is one of the best known public squares in Berlin Mitte, and it’s certainly the largest of Germany. Named after Tsar Alexander I, who visited the Prussian capital in 1805, most people simply call it Alex. It also has many great tourist attractions in close proximity, making it the ideal starting point for a sightseeing tour of Berlin.
This 4K video walk was recorded with high definition binaural audio in 60 FPS.
