The concert recorded by me (Clive Parker) in 1980 when on tour with Athletico Spizz 80, at The Paradiso, Amsterdam, November 1980. Excerpt 2(of 2). The band's line up is;
Spizz (Kenneth Spears) - vocals, guitar
James Little (Jim Solar) bass, keyboards, vocals
Clive Parker (CP Snare) - Drums
Lu Edmonds - guitar, vocals
Lu Edmonds from The Damned (& PIL) was the replacement guitarist for Dave Scott. James Little is playing some of Mark Coalfield's keyboard parts, (who'd left the band). This same line up toured the USA with 999, Siouxsie, (and solo dates), and made the 'Spikey Dream Flowers' album (as The Spizzles). Interruptions are due to ice/snow being thrown at the band, and a padlock thrown on-stage.
The original recording was made on cassette, although there was surprising little hiss. The hum is from the guitar amps, and not the tapes.
The photos and memorabilia are from my own collection, from the period.
Songs;
Spock's Missing
Red & Black
Soldier Soldier
Clocks are Big (Machines are Heavy)
Where's Captain Kirk
Work
The additional song of Virginia Plain (the band's final encore) is unfortunately missing, but, you can hear Jim twiddling with the keyboard, lining it up, at the end.
