Papyr or reMarkable, which one?
One of these two is going to become my weekly planner, as a school device, and the other is going to stay at home as my desk planner.
The remarkable was a game changer. But if I'm honest, it was always just a little bit small for how I used my planner. I like to keep one page on a day.
So I had to add extra notes pages in my planner and this was annoying.

You know what I love about eInk note devices is that you can delete tasks that you've completed and then you get that space back. Or you can select a bit and make it smaller. That's cool, gets you the space back too. You can do this on both devices of course.
So the Papyr gets a thumbs up for being that bit bigger. And then it's got two more tricks up its sleeve as well, as you have the infinite scroll and infinite zoom and so you can just add a bit more space if you need it to the right, just like this. And I maybe use an arror from the main A4 view to remind me later that there's something else there.
You'd think maybe that the size would he a nuisance as well. If maybe you'd struggle to find in your bag or whatever, but to tell you the truth of you can fit folders in your bag... Or a laptop, you'll have no issue with this.
The biggest issue is with the way that it syncs. You see you only really have two options with the Papyr, local file which is not backed up, or cloud file, in which case you have to be connected at all times. I'd really like to see a middle ground, a normal more where the file is synced but I can also edit it off line. Perhaps give me the option to sync the file live every second when I need to but switch to a normal personal use just backing up every few minutes as you work whenever possible.
I get that this device is about collaboration, but maybe that makes you think twice about it if you want to make it just a personal planner.
I did think it was going to be that the big one stayed at home. But in fact the size hasn't bothered me, and its so light. The side by side function has just made it so valuable. Teaching screen in one side, notes on the other. And I can get around having to occasionally plug it in.
The remarkable seems better for just like scrap notes and deeper thinking projects.
Its great for focus. I can imagine writing book outlines on it, and in fact the handwriting to text is fantastic, and really quite accurate, even better for my handwriting than the iPad I have found. And I love drawing on it. So its become more of my personal notepad and sketch book and ill keep the neurologic paper for work.
I'm thinking that the latest update, with pinch to zoom and interlinking in odds could change things again, because you could make an oversized planner, thinker with hyperlinks for each day of the week and move between sections like that. In fact there are already off planners that you can buy which are linked up for this purpose.
Hmmm. Choices choices, which one do you think I should go with? And if you own one, which one, are you shoot with it and why:-)
