The Arlington Police Department is asking for the public's help identifying and locating a suspect in the fatal stabbing earlier this year of an Arlington woman. A video taken from surveillance outside the victim's home shows a person entering her apartment the night before her body was discovered. Irasema Chavez, 33, was found deceased inside her home in the 2700 block of S. Collins Street on January 20, 2012, at about 9 a.m. One of the victim's family members had a key to her apartment and opened the door to find Ms. Chavez unresponsive on the floor. Homicide detectives have been working with the family and following every possible lead.

Detectives hope that by showing the public this surveillance video that someone might recognize this person. Officers are interested in talking to this person in the hopes that more information can be provided about the last hours before Ms. Chavez's death.
