As we discuss climate change it’s important to remember that not everywhere in the world is impacted in the same way – and though we have extensive data on the topic there’s work to be done on the ways it causes forest decline and tree mortality in different areas. At the same time, to solve this problem and to ensure we work together for the benefit of our forests, international initiatives are needed. At the IUFRO World Congress we spoke to Henrik Hartmann (Max Planck Institute for Biogeochemistry) and Amy Duchelle (Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO)) about the work they're doing in this area.
