STORYLINE
The US President and his first lady held a state dinner for the visiting Chinese President Hu Jintao on Wednesday which also welcomed a mix of Hollywood stars, business leaders and prominent Chinese-Americans to the White House.
A state dinner was an honour that Hu was denied during his last visit in 2005 by former US President George W. Bush, much to the displeasure of the Chinese leader.
