On Weds 4th November, the Foreign Office suspended all flights in and out of Sharm el-Sheikh following the MetroJet crash which is currently under investigation.
Flights returning from Sharm el-Sheikh were suspended throughout Thursday 5th, but flights back to the UK resumed on Friday 6th and UK officials and airlines are now working hard to get holidaymakers home.
Flights from the UK to Sharm el-Sheikh have been suspended by Monarch, easyJet, Thomson Airways and Thomas Cook Airlines until 25th November, and by BA until 23rd.

We’ll be making it super easy to cancel or amend your booking with us.
Firstly, if you want up to date news of what’s going on at Sharm el-Sheikh airport and how it may affect your trip, we’re keeping a news page updated every day with information from the airlines and the Foreign Office.

If you were planning to travel to Sharm el-Sheikh and have a booking with us, we really want to help. You can cancel your booking online using the form on the same link.
You can email hasslefree@holidayextras.com and we’ll get back to you as soon as we can. Alternatively, please call our UK call centre free of charge on 0800 977 4276. We’ve got extra people on the phones so we’ll pick up very quickly.
If you are still in Sharm el-Sheikh and you’re coming back earlier or later than you expected, please do get in touch with us on the number on the screen and, again, we’ll do everything we can to amend your booking for you.
If you have parked your car at the airport, it is especially important that you let us know when you’re coming back so we can have it ready for you. If you’re returning late, don’t worry, we’ll ensure you receive a refund on any extra days you used.
