After a break of one year, the Eurol Hellendoorn Rally returned to action in 2021.
The overall win in the main event was a closely fought battle between two crews, after the ten stages over more than 130 kilometres just 2.3 seconds decided first place. In the end, it was Gert Jan Kobus and Martin Nortier claiming their first ever win in the Škoda Fabia R5 ahead of Bob de Jong and Bjorn Degandt (Hyundai i20 R5). Jim van den Heuvel and Jouri Dockx claimed the final spot on the rostrum in their Polo R5.
The Eurol Hellendoorn Historic Rally 2021 saw a dominant win of Erwin Doctor, some 26 years after his last overall win at this event. Together with codriver Remco Luksemburg he was more than one and ahalf minutes quicker than any other crew in his iconic Ford Escort Mk2 RS 2.0.
The Hellendoorn Rally 2022 will take place as a two-day event again 16th and 17th September 2022.
