A virtual forum, sponsored by the European History Quarterly, and run by the History & Heritage research theme under the School-wide Responding to Crisis research theme at the School of Modern Languages.

A group of scholars who specialise in Black European History and Culture will discuss how their research aims to confront traditional analytical categories. The discussion will centre around Blackness in European History and the role of history (or historical narratives) in the creation of identities will be examined.

Fforwm rhithwir, a noddir gan yr European History Quarterly, ac a gynhelir gan y thema ymchwil Hanes a Threftadaeth, o dan y thema ymchwil Ymateb i Argyfwng ar draws yr Ysgol Ieithoedd Modern.
Bydd grŵp o ysgolheigion sy'n arbenigo mewn Hanes a Diwylliant Du Ewropeaidd yn trafod sut mae eu hymchwil yn anelu at wynebu categorïau dadansoddol traddodiadol. Bydd y drafodaeth yn canolbwyntio ar Dduwch yn Hanes Ewrop ac edrychir ar rôl hanes (neu naratifau hanesyddol) wrth greu hunaniaethau.
