A special service was held at the Capt Johnnie Walker statue, in the Pier Head, Liverpool. The service marks the 77th anniversary of the great mans death in 1944, at the age of 48. Walker was the most successful anti-submarine warfare commander during the Battle of the Atlantic. This year the service was attended by the Lord Mayor of Sefton Cllr Carragher, Cdre Waterhouse RN, Capt Feltham and Dave Roberts from the Western Approaches.
