How to boost your logistics across Europe? Swiss logistics leader Kuehne+Nagel relies on Flanders, the northern region of Belgium, to do just that. In 2020, the company channeled EUR 75 million into the construction of a brand-new European distribution center in the town of Tessenderlo. What’s more, it also decided to build a new airside pharma & healthcare, perishable and general cargo hub at Brussels Airport’s freight area (Brucargo) in Machelen.

Creating 150 additional jobs in 2021 and 350 in the long run, their efforts earned the company a nomination for the 2021 Foreign Investment of the Year Trophy, awarded by Flanders Investment & Trade.
