A few years before Moebius, Druillet, Dionnet, and Farkas formed Les Humanoides Associes and created the earth shaking illustrated science fiction and fantasy magazine METAL HURLANT, they were published in the pages of PILOTE, another illustrated French art magazine that had been in operation since 1959. Pilote published illustrated westerns, war, drama, humor, political satire...you name it. But occasionally they would publish a sci-fi story or two by such artists as Druillet and Mezieres along with Jean Giraud's BLUEBERRY western strip.
Here we take a good look at PILOTE #651 published in April, 1972.
My channel is not monetized but you can support my work by renting my film "Horror Anthology Movie Vol. One" for 1.99 on Amazon. 6 original sci-fi/horror tales, approx. 2 hours long.
