About 50% of patients in ICU develop AKI. Detection of at-risk patients and applying preventive steps can change the outcome of such patients. With appropriate measures themselves, many patients may not develop AKI and thereby will not face complications and long-term problems due to AKI. Even if such patients develop AKI, applying these steps will prevent the development of sequelae in them.

Therefore, the aim of making this video is just to make young intensivists aware of simple steps of prevention and then management of an established AKI case. I hope my colleagues will find this video very interesting and share it with all colleagues in this distinguished fraternity.
