Elizabeth "Lizzy" Delorier is like most two-year-old girls. She loves her sisters. She loves to play. She loves to laugh. However, for the last six months, instead of laughter, the young Lilburn girl has had to endure pain, needles, hospital visits, and tears as she begins her battle with a rare brain tumor classified as an Astrocytoma. In July 2014, Lizzy was diagnosed with the brain cancer that has caused mobility issues and partial paralysis of her left side. This piece follows her and her mother, Sabrina, on a five month journey as they go through chemotherapy to see if the tumor will respond to treatment.
