U.S. Marines work with the Japanese Ground Self-Defense Force on military operations in urbanized terrain Aug. 17, 2017 in Hokudaien, Japan, during Northern Viper 17. Northern Viper is a combined-joint exercise designed to enhance regional cooperation between the U.S. and Japan.
