The battle of Utica took place in 203 BC between a Roman force led by Publius Cornelius Scipio and allied troops led by Hasdrubal Gisgo and Syphax from Carthage and Numidia, respectively. The fight took place during the Second Punic War and ended in a crushing loss for Carthage.
