Chase credit cards are FANTASTIC, but there are some application rules you MUST be aware of if your goal is to maximize the amount of points, miles, and cash back you earn. That’s because without understanding rules like the Chase 5/24 Rule, Chase 24 Month Rule, and the Chase 2/30 Rule, you might end up getting denials more often that you’d like.

So, we’re going to discuss the main Chase Credit Card Application Rules in this video one by one so you can put yourself in a better position to get approved.

Whether your goal is to earn more Chase Ultimate Rewards points, hotels points, airline miles, or cash back, this video can help you make it happen more often.

Pro Tip: It can make a lot of sense to prioritize Chase credit cards that earn Chase Ultimate Rewards points first, since those rewards are the most flexible and therefore tend to be the most valuable. Examples of these credit cards include the Chase Sapphire Reserve, Chase Sapphire Preferred, Chase Freedom Flex, and Chase Freedom Unlimited. That said, a good exception is when there’s an airline credit card or hotel credit card with a very large signup bonus. If you have plans to use those types of program-specific rewards, then a signup bonus is usually the fastest way to earn those rewards.
