Released on October 22nd, 1996, this is the last record of the gloomy post rock incarnation of Michael Gira’s Swans. Soundtracks for the Blind incorporates obscure spoken interludes between some songs, which mostly describe the disability of the speaker or someone that the speaker is describing.
Across these 26 tracks is what is considered by many to be the best piece ever released by Swans, and an important contribution to modern music as a whole.
