UEC Energy has been working closely with Scoffs Group which is the largest Costa Coffee franchise in the UK, to make the cafes safer for their customers from the Coronavirus. UEC has installed into two cafes so far, the latest UV technology called Far-UVC that provides continuous neutralisation of airborne and surface pathogens including the Coronavirus, the influenza virus and other harmful pathogens.
Far-UVC has been proven to be a safe and effective way of enabling the control of viruses in occupied spaces unlike other UV light based decontamination solutions where humans cannot occupy that space whilst the lamps are active. Far-UVC lamps use a wavelength of UV light which has been thoroughly researched in the US, Japan and the UK and be proven to be safe.
Scoffs Group are the first major chain to implement this type of UV technology which is ground breaking and likely to become the norm in cafe's, shops, offices and other places where people congregate and work.
