Recently picked up a used GLA co2 regulator and once it arrived I found the working pressure gauge was not working. Found a new gauge on ebay for $12 bucks and that seems to have done the trick!
The word I was looking for was a "bourdon tube" which is essentially the internals of the gauge and how it works. Found a small crack where the bourdon tube meets the body on the old gauge so that gauge was definitely faulty. Lucky for me it seems the regulator itself is fine but still need to do some more leak tests to confirm.
