In November 2018 we went for a short trip to the multipitch climbing paradise - Taghia in Morocco.
Taghia is a remote village in the Atlas mountains, surrounded by amazing steep limestone walls, with up to 600 metre long routes.
There is no road that leads to the village, so in order to get there, you need to walk for about 1,5 hours from the last stop in Zaouiat Ahanesal through the canyon trail.
The village is quite popular among climbers, but due to lack of touristic infrastructure, you will only meet locals and climbers there. It is a perfect place to relax among beautiful mountain surroundings and sample the slow and peacefull way of life in the mountain village.
We could only spend 5 days there this time, but we fell in love and we will definitely come back!
