This is a test video to debunk the notion from skeptics that the "orbs" in my video are just dust particles. To do this test, I filmed my partner shaking a dusty rug in our home with our night vision camera. While the particles look similar, I would like to note some key differences.
First, the orbs have a linear, distinct direction, while the dust moved in complicated, curvy patterns. Second, the orbs will flash in and out of the screen in one movement, whereas the dust can be easily tracked with your eyes. Lastly, it took awhile for the dust to get close to the screen, where you could see all of it moving in the frame, but the orbs seem to appear at different distances from the camera. The orbs also seem to have a trail of light behind them that lingers longer than the dust's trail of movement.
Again, this is all our objective observations about the differences in the two videos, and we realize that you may not see it the same way. We also realize that this was video was too short to see the movement of the dust once it settled, so we'll be filming again soon for a longer period of time.
Let us know what you think in the comments below. Thanks for watching.
