Songs: Show No Tears by NemesisTheory and Intercept 2 by DJNate
This is the first two levels in one of the most well known series in gd, the plasma pulse series, which is four levels long, each of which being harder than its predecessor. The last level in this series, Plasma Pulse Finale, is even a top 30 demon. Each level in this series is a collab between two South American gd players, GironDavid and xSmokes, who were both legendary players back in 1.9.
Review:
Plasma Pulse is an interesting but unbalanced level which is deceptively difficult, this is due to how the first wave and UFO are both very inconsistent and painful to play. They are then followed by the dual which is fairly buggy and only functions properly about 1 in every 2-3 attempts. After this is the ship dual which is also fairly difficult, and I died to this part 9 times total, and then past the ship dual is really easy but I managed to die there one time. Overall a fairly good level that I beat very quickly but it could definitely be better in a lot of spots.
Plasma Pulse II is a lot harder, being a mid-high end insane demon around the difficulty of levels such as UltraSonic. The difficulty is mostly carried by the first 38% and the ship at 66%, especially the first cube and the wave. I ended up dying at the ship 7 times total and at the final dual twice, which isn’t bad luck considering how luck based the final dual is. This one took me a couple of days and around 2.5k attempts to beat but was generally fun due to the balancing fitting my skillset, and I would recommend this if you want to practice wave, duals and timing gameplay.
