I think the main value of this book will be working the motor neurons connected to your left hand, thus improving the overall technique. Keep in mind that this book is transposed only for tenor key. Of course, you can still practice these on alto/bari (or C-Melody if you're a rebel), but they will be in a different key from the original tunes.
