Fan Fact: Centipedes does not have 100 legs, They have hard exoskeletons and jointed legs with one pair of legs per segments unlike millipedes which do have 2 pairs of legs per segments.
Centipedes are primarily found in tropical climates. They can be found on the ground, in the soil, under the rocks or woods and rarely bite animals. They eat insects, worms, spiders etc.
Sometimes they can crawl inside your ear accidentally just like ants, cockroaches, ticks and spiders. Symptoms are foreign body sensation inside your ear, pain or clicking sounds. When you experience one or two of these, it is advisable to seek an ENT specialist to have it check. Treatment is removal of foreign body and some antibiotic ear drops.
