@KobirDocumentary Historical Idrakpur Fort || ইদ্রাকপুর কেল্লা মুন্সীগঞ্জ || Munshiganj || kobir documentary || Indrakpur Fort is a Mughal architecture located in Munshiganj town of Munshiganj district. Bengali Subedar Senapati Mir Jumla built this fort in 1660 AD on the western bank of the river in the present district headquarters of Munshiganj. This Indrakpur fort is smaller in size than the Hajiganj and Sonakanda forts in Narayanganj and was built to protect the entire area including Dhaka and Narayanganj from the Portuguese invasion. There is a legend that this fort was connected with Dhaka Lalbagh Fort through the tunnel of Indrakpur Fort. This fort has high walls and a circular enclosure at each corner. Indrakpur Fort is located within three kilometers of the Ichamati Dhaleswari Meghna Shitalakshya River as a unique feat of Mughal architecture.Indrakpur Fort was declared a protected monument in 1909.
