The first video of China's H-20 stealth strategic bomber may have appeared online. I'll share with you my analysis of the video.

The voice of in the video claimed this is a H-20 bomber. The H-20 is China's first long-range strategic bomber, as well as its first stealth bomber and the second stealth bomber in the world after the B-2 of the United States. There are no reliable photographs or descriptions of the aircraft, so we can only make some logical speculation. Some analysts claim it is a Rainbow 7 large stealth drone, but I believe a lot of the details show that it is not a Rainbow 7, so this may be the first time the H-20 has been exposed visually.

The plane in the video has a flying wing configuration, with the fuselage section not completely merged with the wings like a B-2 bomber, but more like a diamond shape object with two wings.

First of all, we can rule out the possibility that this is a Chinese Attack 11 combat drone, because the Attack 11 has large sweep angle wings. Apart from the Attack 11, the only known not-so-small Chinese flying wing aircraft are the H-20 and the Rainbow 7. So, if we can rule out the possibility that this is a Rainbow 7, then it's very likely the H-20.

The Rainbow 7 is a high-altitude, long-endurance stealth drone with a typical stealth wing layout, and accurate models of it have been shown in public several times. And I don't think the video shows Rainbow 7.

According to the official model of the Rainbow 7 in this air show, the outer wing of the Rainbow 7 has parallel leading and trailing edges, a typical stealth design. However, the outer wing of the plane in the video does not look like this. The leading edge and trailing edge are not parallel, the width is decreasing as it goes towards the tip.

The nose of the Rainbow 7 does extend forward comparing the wing leading edges, but the plane in the video appears to extend forward more sharply than the Rainbow 7.

Interestingly, one of the computer generated image of the H-20 is very similar to the plane in this video. Of course, we can't just say this is H-20 only judging by comparerision with an imaginary visual. However, given the above, the probability of it being a Rainbow 7 is low, so the probability of it being a H-20 is high.

If this is really the first exposure of the H-20 stealth bomber, then we can be sure that the H-20 is already at least in the prototype test flight stage. The project is progressing somewhat faster than most people think, and the first batch production of the H-20 bomber may be delivered to the Chinese Air Force in four to five years.

Although Chinese officials have not released any details of the H-20, it is believed that the H-20, a high-altitude, subsonic, stealth strategic bomber, can fly directly from China to some US military bases in the Pacific or even to the US mainland with the support of refueling aircraft. It would be capable of carrying multiple cruise missiles or bombs, capable of carrying out a nuclear strike. The H-20, if successful, marks breakthrough of the China's aerodynamic design, flight control, engine, strategic nuclear strike fire control, the tactical conventional firepower control capability. For the first time, China will acquire a reliable nuclear triad based H-20 bombers, land-based intercontinental ballistic missiles and sea launched ballistic missiles.
