Massive demonstrations against racism and police brutality filled some of the nation’s most famous cityscapes Saturday, with tens of thousands of people marching peacefully in scenes that were more often festive than tense. On Sunday, thousands of demonstrators packed the streets in Los Angeles, California, demanding racial justice and decrying police brutality in the wake of the death of George Floyd in police custody in Minneapolis.
