Between 2002 and 2011, BloodRayne only had three games within its entire series, with BloodRayne: Betrayal being the latest release. Since then, new entries haven't been on the minds of game studios, including WayForward and original developer Terminal Reality.
On a side note, a fourth game, BloodRayne: The Shroud, was in production but didn't come full circle, presumably due to BloodRayne: Betrayal's poor sales.
In 2020, Ziggurat Interactive got the intellectual property and other titles belonging to the previous publisher, Majesco Entertainment.
Furthermore, Ziggurat collaborated with both developers in bringing all games to modern systems.
Terminal Reality would handle the first two games, whereas WayForward would do its 2D counterpart. Known as BloodRayne Betrayal: Fresh Bites, changes like a rebalanced difficulty setting and full voice acting is part of this remaster, but even with its alterations, is it worth sinking our teeth in?
