👇 👇 👇 INFORMAZIONI 👇 👇 👇 The Midi Hurdy Gurdy reached the 3rd prototype in 2014, and it is going to take its greatest shape in the 4th proto, I'm looking forward to seeing the news.
We invited Francesco Giusta to play it for having feedback from one of the most skilled Hurdy Gurdy performers, as well as for recording new samples to improve the quality of sound of the electronic instrument.
Here is a test of the instrument as it is at present.

Francesco Giusta enters the world of hurdy-gurdy at the age of eleven and then specializes in technique by studying with some of the greatest exponents of the instrument such as Jean-François Maxou Heintzen, Patrick Bouffard, Grégory Jolivet, Germán Diaz, Thierry Nouat, Stéphane Durand, Valentin Clastrier, Marcello Bono, Tobie Miller. He has played in various ensembles, especially in folk and medieval music, and has been a guest of well-known groups such as Lou Dalfin, Malanova and L’Orage. He has recorded some records (En l'aire ailamont in 2011 and Podre in 2013 with La Mesquia, Balfolk in 2014 with Trigomigo) and was a guest in Bon Nadal Occitania in 2009, with Sergio Berardo, Cavalier Faidit in 2011 with Lou Dalfin, Santulubbiranti in 2015 with Malanova, Medioevo Digitale with L'Orage. Since 2011 he regularly holds masterclasses in Germany and courses in Turin. In 2015 he won the first prize in the solo hurdy-gurdy competition of the Le son continue Festival in Chateaux d’Ars, France. To date he performs with the groups Trigomigo, Controcanto and in solo project and teaches in Turin, Cuneo and Frankfurt.
