In addition to his sessions with cultural figures of the 1960s and ‘70s, Fass regularly discussed the contentious politics of the era. Fass broadcast through numerous presidential administrations as well as the resignation of Richard Nixon on August 9, 1974. The following clip features audio from Nixon and his successor, Gerald Ford, who commented on his intention to continue the foreign policies of the previous administration. Henry Kissinger, Secretary of State under Nixon, would remain in his position under President Ford.
