Nikki Sixx interviewed on CHUM FM, Toronto - January 1984
Cassette recording digitized by Ray Berkis.
MOTLEY CRUE's Toronto appearance (CNE Coliseum, June 10 1984) on their 'Shout At The Devil' tour helped kick start Toronto's local glam metal scene into high gear. Bands began to form, clubs warmed up to the genre and hair spray was sold out at every drug store in the city. Their appearance along with Toronto's glam scene in general will be featured in the upcoming book EVE OF DARKNESS: TORONTO METAL IN THE 80’s – coming soon from UXB Press.
EVE OF DARKNESS delivers the real story behind heavy metal’s most critical decade in Canada’s biggest city from the people who lived it. Featuring the commercially well-known (Anvil, Lee Aaron, Killer Dwarfs), influential legends (Sacrifice, Razor, Slaughter), countless forgotten obscurities and unknown ragers, plus the venues, fanzines, labels… it’s all here in serious detail.
Packed with mountains of unearthed flyers and unseen photos, and extensive text drawn from over one hundred interviews, EVE OF DARKNESS is a true labour of love with over 300 beautifully printed, large format pages.
