Between 2009 and 2010, in Nigeria there was a preponderance of content in the Nigerian entertainment scene that encouraged young Nigerians to take to cyber crime, especially the advance fee fraud or "419" variety. Some of Nigeria's music stars decided to change the narrative by making positive music to change the narrative and steer vulnerable youth away from the false allure that it was cool to engage in cybercrime. This song is the outcome of that noble campaign.
The song was produced by legendary Nigerian producer Cobhams Asuquo and featured him on it alongside Banky W, Omawumi, Wordsmith, Bez, Modele and the Rooftop MCs. The music video was directed by Kemi Adetiba and received critical acclaim from across the world. It also received support from Microsoft, INTERPOL, Nigeria's Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), the United Nations Office on Drug and Crime (UNODC) and many others.
