This travel program features opportunities to connect with Kenyan environmental leaders at the Green Belt Movement and the Wangari Maathai Foundation; service learning in the small African community of Ihithe, Wangari’s birthplace; and the chance to explore classroom connections with fellow educators. In addition to this intensive exchange, we will also have time “on safari” in two of East Africa’s great parks, the Maasai Mara and Nakuru, to see outstanding wildlife on the African plains.
