Procreate Pocket 2 is designed for your iPhone screen. It is a much smaller screen to draw on, so they designed the interface to fit everything on to the screen. The most important part is the screen estate for drawing. You can draw with your finger and even use pressure sensitivity from your finger, because Procreate Pocket 2 uses the 3D Touch of your iPhone. If you press lightly you will get smaller strokes. When you press harder you will increase the size and opacity of your Brush. You can draw in Portrait mode and then the sliders for your brush are on the left side of the screen. When drawing in landscape mode, the are on the right of your screen.
Unfortunately the Apple Pencil is not supported on the iPhone. But you can use the Adonit, Pogo Connect and Wacom Stylus for pressure sensitive styluses. But you can use a dumb stylus as well. With the 3D Touch you can also have pressure sensitivity.
Overall I am really excited about Procreate Pocket 2. I only need to learn how to draw on such a small screen. But it is great to wip out your iPhone and start drawing wherever you are.
The only trouble I had was while drawing in Landscape mode. When you are drawing too close to the bottom of your screen you will return to your homescreen. And not to mention your battery will drain fast, because Procreate Pocket 2 uses a lot of juice to operate well.
The guys and Gals at Savage did a great job on Procreate Pocket 2. It now is a full drawing and painting app for your iPhone. I will leave a link to the AppStore so you can download Procreate Pocket 2. If you already bought Procreate Pocket, the update is for free. Otherwise it is available for $4.99.
If you already are familiar with drawing and painting in Procreate 4, then everything looks very familiar, but a lot smaller.
If you want to learn everything about drawing and painting in Procreate, buy my ebook Procreate 4 Video Manual on iBooks. It has a lot of video tutorials and everything is also explained in text with lots of images.
