Hakka Yong Tofu is made from a combination of vegetables and fried bean curd generously stuffed with pork meat & fish paste.
I like to cook this dish as a one-pot-meal and the veggies go down easier for the young ones.
500gm ground pork,
300gm king fish meat.
½ dried squid (medium size) pan fry until fragrant *
1 tsp White pepper
1 tsp Garlic powder
1 tsp Five spices
1½ tbsp Oyster sauces
1 tsp Sugar
⅓ tsp Salt
1 tbsp Sesame oil
1 egg white
•Put all the ingredients in the food processor mix until all combine.
•Choose your favorite vegetables & beancrud or skin to fill it with the meat.
•You can pan fried or deep fried it.
For the sauce.
2 tbsp Fermented Bean Paste,
½ tbsp Ginger (chopped)
½ tbsp Garlic (chopped)
½ tbsp Oyster sauce
30ml water
½ tsp Sugar
1 tsp cornstarch + water
• Add oil garlic, ginger stir fry it until fragrant add fermented bean paste, water, oyster sauce and add in cornstarch water.
