🎣 Flies that worked: Size 14 Nymph (not sure if natural color or pink one), but stonefly nymphs have been working for people in May!
Session Notes:
I went early morning fishing on the Bow River in Cranston, Calgary, Alberta, looking for a nice trout. I started the day with a dry-wet rig to try to find risers, but only a few risers led me to think that there was an actively feeding trout that was focused more on sub-surface food. I changed to a triple nymph rig and after working the water carefully, I figured out where a nice brown trout calls home. I landed him once, then picked him up again about 20 minutes later in the same spot. It was a great session :).
