Unknown attackers fired a grenade in the early hours of Saturday morning which destroyed a Finnish observation tower under construction for peace keepers in Kosovo.
The tower was built near Lipljan to allow peacekeepers to guard Serb farmers in their fields.
According to British officials the tower was unmanned at the time of the attack.
Since K-FOR arrived in Kosovo in June last year, Serbs have been attacked numerous times by ethnic Albanians seeking vengeance.
But attacks on K-FOR personnel and their facilities have been rare.
Finnish commanders have condemned the attack and they've been working to repair damage.
SOUNDBITE: (Finnish)
"The Finnish Battalions unmanned post was shot by grenades. The post was almost completely destroyed. The aggressors knew the post was unmanned when that happened. We don't know yet who did it. We have started repairs and the post will be in use soon."
